Next Generation Sequencing and Consumables

Letgen Biotechnology provides services to researchers in NGS as well as in Sanger Sequencing. Next Generation Sequencing in other name NGS, is the name for the techniques which use different platforms to sequence millions of sample simulteneously. NGS called as Parallel Sequencing because a lot of samples are sequencing in parallel at the same time. Although it is called NGS, usage in some techniques go back to 1996. Human Genome Project which had started in 1990 and ended in 2003, lasted almost 15 years and costed 1 billion dollars. With NGS, this situation entirely changed and now all human genome can be sequenced within 1-2 days and it only costs 3000-5000 dollars. NGS, with its advantages such as short duration and low cost, it has also high sensitivity to find the differences in mutations and genomes.
