1. Definitions

Website: The website located at www.letgenbio.com.

Law: The Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.

Personal Data : Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Online Visitor/Related Person: All persons accessing the Website. It is included in the Visitor person group in the relevant company policies.

Board: The Personal Data Protection Board.

Personal data are collected through the use of the Website and filling out the contact form, fully automatically or partially automatically, to be stored for the period necessary for the purpose of processing.

Personal data are processed based on the explicit consent of the Online Visitor. However, personal data may also be processed without seeking explicit consent based on one of the legal reasons in Article 5, paragraph 2 of the Law: (i) it is expressly stipulated in the laws, (ii) it is mandatory for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation, (iii) data processing is mandatory for the establishment, use or protection of a right, (iv) data processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of personal data owners.

4. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Personal data, if expressly stipulated in the laws or within the framework of the other conditions specified in Article 5, paragraph 2 of the Law, depending on the transactions performed by the Online Visitor on the Website;

  • “Identity and contact information” is processed for the purposes of conducting/supervising business activities, conducting customer relationship management processes, following up requests/complaints and conducting communication activities within this scope, in case the contact form is filled out,

5. To Whom and For What Purpose the Processed Personal Data Can Be Transferred

Personal data may be transferred to Letgen Biotechnology’s group companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, business partners and authorized public institutions and organizations, limited to the purposes specified in the fourth article of this text, if one of the conditions in Article 5, paragraph 2 of the Law exists, provided that the necessary security measures are taken within the framework of the conditions specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law.

If one of the conditions in Article 5, paragraph 2 of the Law does not exist, the transfer of Personal Data is subject to the explicit consent of the Online Visitor.

6. Rights of the Personal Data Owner in Accordance with Article 11 of the Law

Letgen Biotechnology informs the data owner of their rights in accordance with Article 10 of the Law; provides guidance on how to exercise these rights and carries out the necessary internal functioning, administrative and technical regulations for all these.

In accordance with Article 11 of the Law, personal data owners;

  • To learn whether their personal data has been processed,
  • To request information regarding this if their personal data has been processed,
  • To learn the purpose of processing their personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
  • To know the third parties to whom their personal data is transferred at home or abroad,
  • To request correction of their personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed
  • To request the deletion or destruction of their personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the Law,
  • To request notification of the transactions made in accordance with paragraphs (d) and (e) of Article 11 of the Law (transactions of correction and destruction of data) to third parties to whom their personal data has been transferred,
  • To object to the occurrence of a result against them by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
  • To demand compensation for the damage in case of damage due to unlawful processing of their personal data,

Requests and applications regarding the implementation of the Law can be submitted in writing to the address “Çınarlı Mah. Ozan Abay Cad. Egeperla Blok No: 10 İç Kapı No: 141 Konak / İzmir” in person by filling out the Personal Data Owner Application Form or sent through a Notary Public, or can be sent electronically to the registered electronic mail (KEP) address letgenbiyoteknoloji@hs06.kep.tr by using a secure electronic signature or mobile signature.

Requests and applications can also be sent to info@letgenbio.com if the data owner has an e-mail address previously notified to Letgen Biotechnology and registered in Letgen Biotechnology’s system.

In requests and applications;

  • Name, surname and signature if the application is written,
  • T.R. identity number for citizens of the Republic of Turkey, nationality, passport number or identity number, if any, for foreigners,
  • Address of residence or workplace for notification,
  • E-mail address, telephone and fax number, if any, for notification,
  • Subject of request,

must be included.

Information and documents related to the subject must be attached to the application.

Letgen Biotechnology concludes the requests in the application free of charge as soon as possible and no later than thirty days, depending on the nature of the request. However, a fee in the tariff determined by the Board may be charged if the transaction requires an additional cost.

Letgen Biotechnology may accept the request or reject it by explaining the reason and notifies the Relevant Person of its response in writing or electronically. If the request in the application is accepted, Letgen Biotechnology fulfills the requirement as soon as possible and informs the Relevant Person. If the application is caused by Letgen Biotechnology’s error, the fee charged is returned to the data owner.

In cases where the application is rejected, the response given is found insufficient or the application is not answered in due time; the data owner has the right to complain to the Board within thirty days from the date of learning the response and in any case within sixty days from the date of application.

7. Data Security

Letgen Biotechnology is obliged to take all kinds of administrative and technical measures to prevent unlawful processing of personal data and unlawful access to personal data, to ensure the preservation of personal data and to ensure an appropriate level of security.

If the website redirects to other sites or applications, Letgen Biotechnology does not have information about the compliance of the redirected sites and applications with the legislation on the protection of personal data and is not under any responsibility for their privacy policies and content.
